Papers of Roy L. Martin, a railroad hobbyist chiefly relating to the preparation of his book, History of the Wisconsin Central. The bulk of the collection includes correspondence with other railway enthusiasts and with old employees of the Wisconsin Central reminiscing about their experiences. A group of notes and reference materials contains some information on the Wisconsin Central's land grants, financial problems, locomotives, equipment, schedules, biographical materials on railroad pioneers, and maps of the road's route.
